The volume consists of printed columns and records date of receipt, date of letter, writer's name, subject of letter, date of answer, purport of answer and corresponding file number.
NotesIncludes a handwritten note on the inside cover page, dated 29 December 1916, and written by W.M. Gibson. It states that a 'block of 12 Red penny postage stamps' were found in the volume and that he [Gibson] gave them to the King [George V].
