Confidential letter submitted by Lord Derby (not included) regarding Mr Bright's views. Lord Derby's view of the matter. Reverend Henry Longueville Mansel, Chaplain to the Bishop of Peterborough, submitted for the Professorship of Ecclesiastical History at Oxford University, in the event of Queen Victoria's objections to Mr Bright being insuperable. Lord Derby's renewed request for approval of the appointment of Mr W.R. Seymour Fitzgerald to the Privy Council, on becoming Governor of Bombay.
