General Peel's (Right Honourable Lieutenant General Jonathan Peel) refusal to accept a reduction of franchise, and his threat of resignation. Henry Charles, 8th Duke of Beaufort suggested by Lord Derby for a vacant Garter riband. Lord Derby's proposal to promote Sir Georgio Marcoran from Knight Commander (K.C.M.G.) to Knight Grand Cross (G.C.M.G.). Grounds for recommendation. Queen Victoria's pleasure requested as to placing a bust of the Right Honourable Joseph Hume in the House of Commons.
