Description
Duke of Marlborough's (John Winston Spencer Churchill, 7th Duke of Marlborough) desire to resign his office of Lord Steward (in Queen Victoria's Household). His reasons. To retain office for the present. Earl Vane (George Henry Robert Charles William, Earl Vane; after 5th Marquis of Londonderry) proposed to succeed him.
