Description
Lord Derby's suggestion for the postponement of Wellington College's Speech Day, usually June 18th, to enable Prince Arthur to attend, in accordance with Queen Victoria's wish. Reverend John Saul Howson (Vicar of St Peter and Paul, Wisbech) submitted for the Deanery of Chester. His qualifications. William Rose's grateful acceptance of the offer of a Knight Commandership (K.C.B.) but with request for it to be deferred until the close of the session.
