Description
Lord Derby on the importance of Queen Victoria's receiving the Sultan of Turkey, Abdul Aziz, immediately on his arrival in England. Magnificence of his reception in France. Danger of giving grounds for an unfavourable comparison with that in England. Queen Victoria urged to postpone her journey to Osborne, in order to give him an audience. Immense importance attached to the question by Cabinet.
