Description
Letters of Lord Derby and Lord Abercorn to Mr Disraeli, on his becoming Prime Minister, forwarded to Queen Victoria. Their assurances of support. Mr Disraeli's reasons for submitting them. George Sclater Booth proposed as Secretary to the Treasury. Qualifications required. Lord Eustace Cecil suggested as Secretary of the Poor Law Board, in place of Mr Sclater Booth. Lord Chelmsford to be created a Knight Grand Cross (G.C.B.) Sir William Page Wood (after 1st Baron Hatherley) offered appointment as Lord Justice of Appeal in the Court of Chancery.
