Description
No desire on the part of the Right Honourable J.E. Denison or on that of the Government to ask for a pension for him, but recommended for a Viscounty. Mr Gladstone on the grounds for not choosing Mr Denison's successor, as Speaker, from the Treasury Bench. Mr Gladstone on Queen Victoria's misapprehension of the conduct of Ministers regarding legislation for the prevention of railway accidents, as shown in her letter to Mr Forster.
