Description
Cabinet's decision as to information to be requested from Sir Charles Dilke regarding his inquiry into the Civil List. Cabinet decision to support a Bill for the shortening of Church of England services, if introduced by the Archbishop of Canterbury. Dispute regarding the appointment of an Auditor of Indian Accounts , settled by the choice of Mr C. Macaulay. Hope of his consenting to serve. Cabinet decision to submit resolutions relating to the House of Lords resigning its judicial authority. Certain modifications in the Admiralty's constitution brought before Cabinet. Provision to be inserted in High Court of Justice Bill for obliging retired Lord Chancellor's to serve in the Court of Appeal (about to be constituted) as a condition of their pension.
