Description
Cabinet's decision to advise the House of Commons to decline acceding to Sir Charles Dilke's motion of enquiry into the Civil List. Cabinet's discussion of questions arising under the Washington Treaty (1871) and the dispatch to be sent in answer to the United States of America's reply. Canada to be encouraged to give effect to the Treaty. America to be encouraged to give an extension of time for proceedings contemplated under the Treaty. The line of replies to be given to queries in Parliament determined upon. Government's intention to repeal the Party Procession Act (Ireland).
