Description
General scheme for Army Estimates approved by Cabinet. Reduction in sum required. Increase provided for Army Establishment in the Estimate, as compared with the numbers before the war of 1870. Mr Gladstone on the number of men allowed for in the Navy Estimates. Further Cabinet action regarding Germany and the emigrant ship. Provisions of a Bill for establishing a Supreme Court of Judicature agreed on by Cabinet. Cabinet considered outline of a Bill regarding the transfer of land.
