Description
Cabinet decided to refuse Parnell's Evicted Tenants Bill, and bring in one which would give relief in cases of ejectment (in Ireland) for non-payment of rent where the tenant could not pay because of failure of crop. Cabinet agreed that Granville should counsel the Shah of Persia [Iran] not to compromise his independence as to Russia and assure France that we feel no jealousy of French influence in Tunis.
