DescriptionQueen Victoria shocked at the bitterness, violence and pertinacity of the Irish members of the House of Commons. Queen Victoria shocked at the conduct of France. The feeling in England is very strong as to the Treaty. Her Majesty reminds Gladstone of the three for whom the Prince of Wales wishes Baronetcies. Queen Victoria approves the list of Peerages, but this makes 8 peerages since Gladstone came into office and Her Majesty trusts there will be no more for some time to come.
