Description	Copy letter from Prince Albert to Sir Charles Eastlake in reply to his previous letter regarding the paintings of Mr Ward. He expresses his disappointment that they were a failure however, he asks that they remain hanging for the time being so that the public have a chance to view them and judge 'the defects of oil painting for certain purposes'. He also comments on Mr Herbert's sketch of Moses and states that he advised the Queen not to use the Queen's Robing Room so that William Dyce would note have an 'excuse on that account, which perhaps he may have been hoping for.
